EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 14 : Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust today honoured various officers, Muslim Federation, social organizations and press media for their cooperation in organizing religious functions successfully. MLC and Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust Council, M.K. Ajatshatru Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. The function was attended by MLC Vijay Bakaya, Member Council J&K Dharmarth Trust and Major Gen. Retd. R.S. Jamwal President, District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Director Heritage & Joint Director Information Jammu, Mr. Soujanya Sharma, Administrator Rajeshwar Chand Jamwal and Secretary Shashi Khajuria. Cash welfare grants were also presented to various social organizations like Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Bal Niketan, Ved Mandir, Home for Age and Infirm, SOS Children Channi Himmat, Khushat Rog Ashram Bhagwati Nagar, Gou Raksha Samiti, Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Samaj Kalayan Kendra, Deaf and Dumb, Rashtriya Bhasha Parchar Samiti Nanak Nagar, Jammu besides prizes were distributed among 19 Tableaus who participated in Janam ashtami Rath Yatra. Speaking on the occasion, M K Ajatshatru Singh expressed gratitude to the participants for their exceptional contribution for making the Rath Yatra and other Darmarth functions a grand success and appealed them to continue their endeavours in future too. He also expressed special thanks to district administration for tireless service to make the yatra a major success. The prizes were also given to the officials of Dharmarth Trust who worked day and night for construction of Yasho Karan Park at Ranbireshwar Temple Complex, Shalamar Road, Jammu. The Park is made at the cost of Rs. 51 lakhs donated by Dr. Karan Singh in memory of his wife Late Maharani Smt Yasho Rajya Laxhmi. |
