early times report Srinagar, Dec 19: J&K Pradesh Mahila Congress held a meeting at Party Headquarters here today Wednesday under the chai-rmanship of its president Indu Pawar. Among others who attended and addressed the meeting included Sha-meema Sopori General Secretary, Rafiqa, Shah-zada, Dilshada, Syeda, Shameema Wani, Shameema Mir, Amina and Mehmooda. Speaking on the occasion Pawar expressed his gratitude to Mahila Congress workers and leaders for their work in the recently held panchayat elections for four seats to J&K Legislative Council. "The success of all the four coalition candidates in the election showed that Congress is strong enough under the leadership of Prof. Saifuddin Soz, who has been working day and night for strengthening the party," she said in a statement. Pawar said coalition government was committed for empowerment of sarpanchs and panchs. She reminded Mahila Congress workers that Prof Soz was very much committed for empower panchayats, so that the development of the state could start from grass roots level.
