13 criminal cases settled in Lok Adalats

UDHAMPUR, Feb 5: In order to increase awareness among the masses regarding the legal rights of women, children and senior citizens, the Mobile Lok Adalat and awareness camps were organized in the district Udhampur, under the Chairmanship of Mr. A.K. Koul who is also the Chairman Legal Services Authority Udhampur from January 28 to February 4, 2013. These awareness camps and Lok Adalats were held in Mobile Van equipped with court room facility and Public address system. In total 42 cases were taken up in five tehsils of district Udhampur out of which 13 criminal cases were settled besides nine awareness camps were also held in far flung areas of the district.
