| Two arrested along with blank posters of HuJI | | |

anantnag, Feb 5: Anantnag police has arrested two persons involved in\ threatening elected Panchs and Sarpanchs by pasting posters of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) militant outfit in various areas of South Kashmir's Dooru area, threatening them to resign. Police have recovered blank posters and stamps of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) from them after they raided the houses of duo before days. Sources said that both persons with militancy background are believed to be the OWG's of militant outfit. Arrested persons were identified as Mohd Yousf Khan S/o Mohd Shafi Khan and Abdul Rashid Ray S/o Gulam Mohd Ray both residents of Rain Chowgund Dooru. Additional Superintend of Anantnag Police, Showket Ahmad, when contacted confirmed the arrest. "Yes, we have arrested two persons who are involved in threatening panchayat representatives by pasting posters of militant outfit," said the SP adding, "Police are investigating the matter and FIR has been lodged against them." |
