Rajouri, Feb 5: To remember the supreme sacrifice and valor of the die-hard who laid down their lives to protect Nowshera from the enemy, the Army is celebrating the 'Nowshera Day' on February 8, as its annual feature at the Nowshera War Memorial. Defence Spokesperson Jammu said that a wreath laying ceremony in the honour of the "Saviours of Nowshera" will be followed by a felicitation ceremony of Veer Naris, Veterans of wars and disabled citizens. "The day would be celebrated as a remembrance of the sacrifices of the gallant men of Indian Army who laid down their lives in conformity with the richest traditions of Indian Army to save Nowshera and became the guiding beacon for the generations to follow, he added. The official statement said the function will be attended by senior officers of Army, Civil Administration, relatives of Naik Jadunath Singh and the local population of Nowshera.
