Locals protest against scarcity of potable water

Jammu, Feb 5: Residents of Trikuta Nagar W -53- held a protest at PHE Service Station Trikuta Nagar against non-supplying of drinking water.
Amid slogans against Chief Engg PHE and his staff, the locals alleged that Tube Well K C Colony is also not working from last 8 days forcing people to suffer due to acute shortage of drinking/fresh water. "The Tube well near Power Station Trikutanagar Sector -1 too is not functioning properly for the last 3 days resulting into water shortage particularly in Lakshmi enclave, Khoowali Gali and Manyal Lane.
Aseem Gupta BJP state secretary (publicity) who led the protest asked the Chief Engg and Govt to restore water supply as soon as possible otherwise govt will be responsible for the consequences.
