Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 5: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) is holding five day strike from February 19 to 23 to press government for back tracking from its commitment and agreement. As per press release, the issues which have been agreed by the state government in time bound manner are, the increase in the retirement age by 2 years, regularization of all daily wagers, consolidated, contractual workers, removal of pay anomaly in different grades, pending issues of ReTs, EVs, Migrant substitute teachers, solution of the problem faced by public sector and urban local bodies employees. But Government seems to be non-serious regarding the pending issues and compels the entireemployee fraternity to come on roads. President EJAC, Ab. Qayoom Wani asked the state, provincial, district and zonal level leaders to gear up their respective units for making 5th phase of agitation successful under the banner of JCC and make powerful demonstrations as per the calendar issued by JCC. Wani said that they have finalized the strategy for making the programme impressive and appealed the employees to be united to give a befitting reply to those elements who are playing with the sentiments of the employees. President 'EJAC' once again appealed CM Omar Abdullah, to intervene personally for redressing the grievances of 4.5 lakh employees of the state, otherwise JCC will have no option other than to continue it is agitational path.
