| Govt criticized for discriminatory attitude to Rajouri-Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri, Feb 5: Rajouri Development Forum (RDF), President Showqat Shawl has criticized NC led coalition government for its step motherly treatment with twin border areas of Rajouri and Poonch.
Showqat Shawl said that people of the region not only faced discrimination in developmental works of the region, but in political representation too. He said even in recent cabinet reshuffle Shabir Ahmed Khan was not given the full rank of cabinet minister but was handed over mere Minister of State (MoS) status.
He said that since past one year Rajouri to Thanamandi road is remained under depilated conditions despite spending crores of rupees that connects famous 'Shadra Sharif' and Mugal road with rest of the country. He also criticized the government's negligence towards the provision of essential commodities as well as relief to the people victimized by natural calamities owing to recent snowfall in both regions.
