early times report Jammu, Feb 5: A runaway couple allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in a room of a Guest House in Katra town the base camp to the cave shrine of Mata vaishno Devi in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources today said. Police sources said that the couple was found dead this morning in their room number 304 of Shan Guest House of Katra. They said the guest house staff when got no response from the visitors, they broke open the door and found them lying unconscious and suspecting some foul they immediately informed the police. They added that police rushed to the spot and took the bodies under custody. " Identified namely as Deepa, 20 and Kushan, 25, both residents of Meenakshi Tabez, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh were found unconscious in the room," police said adding that the girl had died on the spot whereas the boy died while being shifted to the hospital, the police sources said. "A bag of clothes, mobile, cold drink bottles and a bottle of poison were recovered from the room, sources added. They further said the couple had checked in the Guest House on January 30. "After paying obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, they returned to the guest house on January 31, they said further adding, "the families of the deceased have been informed about the matter.' During investigations, it came to notice that the deceased couple was missing from their native place since January 29. A case under a section of CrPC has been registered and investigations started.
