| ERA optimistic of executing Sewer work with in stipulated time | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 19: The work on Ranbir Collector Trunk Sewer is going on in full swing for commissioning of the project being executed by ERA at the earliest so that sewer connection to users are provided at the earliest. The work of crossing of Ranbir Collector Sewer beneath Ranbir Canal is going on round the clock and will be completed by 28 February 2013. The work is regularly being monitored by Jai Gopal Mengi, Project Manager ERA, Dr Sanjeev Chadha Dy. Project Manager ERA, T. R. Sharma APM, A.K. Datta Junior Project Manager and is supervised by team of engineers of Design and Supervision Consultants lead by Team Leader R. N. Verma, Senior Engineer Surinder Singh and Junior Support Engineer Ravi Salgotra. The work of construction of manholes and pipe line is also in progress near Shiv Dham Temple and remaining stretches of Ranbir Collector are expected to be completed by targeted date of 28 February 2013. With completion of Ranbir Collector and sewerage system in Dogra Mohalla, Bakshi Nagar, Gurah Bakshi Nagar and Shakti Nagar by February 28, the households of these areas will be connected to sewerage system as the work of providing house connection will be started on March 1. The other areas of Rehari, Sarwal, Shiv Nagar, Patoli, Janipur, Bhavani Nagar and Paloura under sewerage project being executed by JKERA will be connected to the sewerage system in a phased manner in this year and inhabitants of these localities will be provided with sewerage facility by this year. |
