| Ganderbal quietly deprives its due representation in Upper House, allege Congress leaders | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 19: Panches, Sarpanches and Congress leaders belonging to Ganderbal have held protest against alleged discrimination with the Central Kashmir in the upper house, here at press club. Addressing media persons here at press club of Jammu, Ghulam Rasool Sheikh Sarpanch, Member JKPCC Mohd Afzal Bhat, Mehraj Din and other expressed shock on the way of developments took place in respect to the nomination to upper House by the party leadership by ignoring Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar. They said, "Jabbar has been working for the welfare of masses since 1990. Party high command should consider the contribution of Jabbar for the betterment of party." "The district has been quietly deprived of its due representation while as other district from where PCC Chief Hails has been given more than required representation which is shocking and discriminatory" they added. They appealed to Congress Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and Mohan Parkash to look into the matter and decide whether they want a strong congress in central Kashmir or favour some henchmen of local leadership over here. |
