| 'CEO's transfer politically motivated at behest of Local MLA' | | | ET Report Rajouri, Feb 19: Alleging the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has become a victim of gambit of Health Minister Shabir Ahamed Khan who want his own man on this post, the members of civil society and leaders of opposition parties in a joint meeting demanded revocation of transfer orders of Chief Education Officer Rajouri who joined his post only four days ago. In a joint meeting held at PWD Guest House at Rajouri today alleged that Altaff Hussain, an honest and dedicated person is being victimized by the department at the behest of local MLA who also holds the portfolio of Health Minister Prominent members namely Qayoom Dar, Bharat Bhushan Vaid, Raj Kumar District Heads of PDP,BJP and Panther Party respectively and Sarpances from National Conference and Congress including Ch Darbar Rafiq Mir, Sanjeev Sharma (Mangoo) condemning the move by the department pin pointed that Altaf Hussain a localite was appointed as Chief Education Officer (CEO) vide government order number 152-education, 2013 dt13/2/2013 from the office of Director Serva Sikhsha Abhiyan (SSA) and he joined his new posting on February,14. They recalled it was February 18 when received his transfer orders vide government letter no 162-education,2013/dt 14/2/2013 and this is highly condemned by the people and members of the civil society and teachers fraternity also. The members in this meeting alleged that the local MLA is behind this transfer move within 4 days as he wanted his favourite to hold this chair. Members of civil society and leaders of opposition political parties also added that after serving as CEO at Kargil for one year, Altaf Hussain was eligible for home posting but instead of this the he was catapulted to State Project Director SSA till Feb 2013 and when he got home posting it was again denied to him just within four days of his joining. Yogesh Sharma, former BJP district head and senior leader extending support to Altaf Hussain said that civil society will organize a two hours protest dharna before the office of CEO to impress upon the department and government to revoke the said transfer order. |
