JAMMU, Aug 3: Acupressure doctor of Jammu, Dr. Neeraj Vohra today was conferred upon the title of "Sanstha Samman" by Minister for Planning Development, Labour and Employment Ajay Sadotra for his distinguished services in a function held at K L Sehgal Hall. Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary, Cultural Academy, Jammu was Guest of Honour, Sohail Kazmi, Veteran Journalist an Secretary General, Press Club of Jammu was Special Invitee, SS Anand Lehar, Senior Advocate presided over the function who all have also appreciated the services rendered by him.
Dr. Chanchal Sharma read a paper on Dr. Vohra and highlighted the contribution and services rendered by him.
In his address, Ajay Sadhotra said that Acupressure has become increasingly popular in recent years, though it has been used for centuries as a natural treatment for various diseases. He hoped that people may take benefit from such a natural phenomenon of Acupressure and get themselves healed.
Dr. Chanchal Sharma the famous singer and artist of the state has also being honoured with Sanstha Samman on the occasion. Dr. Chanchal has lot of contribution in the filed of Art and Music. She was confereed this award by Ajay Sadhotra. Prominent among the other who were present on the occasion included KK Shakir, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Ramesh Rahi and Dr. Chanchal Sharma. |
