| Throwing ban to dustbin, SFC re-engages retired employee | | | Avinash Azad Jammu, Aug 3: Giving a damn to directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah imposing ban on re-employment of employees after retirement, State Financial Corporation (SFC) has re-employed an official after his retirement. Sources informed Early Times that a recently retired employee Abdul Ahad Shah, who held close proximity with Managing Director, has been re-engaged by MD of SFC. "The re-employment of Abdul Ahad Shah only shows favoritism by MD, in lieu of his supplies of monthly ration of rice, vegetables and other items and other special services to the MD", an employee seeking anonymity said. He further said that Shah was simply a matriculate. "Others who had retired along with Shah were much more qualified, experienced and efficient than him, but were not re-employed. Moreover Abdul Ahad Shah is involved in swindling commission amounts which SFC was to receive from suppliers of tractors and JCBs", employee further claimed. Sources further said that financing tractors and JCBs was a big scam and a representation from various beneficiaries who have been duped by SFC officers and suppliers together has been lying with the SFC, which had been made to the Finance Minister who is chairman of the SFC also. "But no action has been taken on the representation and has been hushed up by the vested interest there. Although the tractor scam was taken up by an investigation agency but the investigation officer appointed by the agency hushed up the matter after he was found involved in the loot by getting fake financing his eight tractor cases", employees said. The officials further alleged that Abdul Ahad Shah has amassed wealth and assets over the years which were disproportionate to his known sources of income. "SFC has become a fiefdom of corrupt officials. Those who compromise with their dignity, honor and respect are promoted while others who do not compromise and surrender are being humiliated and harassed", employees claimed. The employees appealed Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather to look into the matter and took action against the erring officers.
