| Divisional Bench issues fresh directions to CS, others | | PIL regarding better care of old age home | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 3: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL filed by Viklang Chattra Trust regarding better care of old age home, Division Bench of High Court observed that compliance report has not been filed by the Chief Secretary in terms of the order dated July 2, 2013. Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi submitted that in the old age home Amphalla there are number of females who are having manning medical problems because of their old age, therefore, some direction is required to be given to Director Health Services Jammu to provide the female doctor and she can also be included in the School Health Check-up scheme who along with team of other doctors will also visit the old age home twice a week. The DB comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey after going through the previous orders observed that suggestion put-forth by Sethi shows the concern and directed Director Health services Jammu to include the female doctors also in the School Health Check-up team, who along with the team of other doctors, will also visit the old age home twice a week. The DB granted another two weeks time to Deputy AG ZS Wattali to submit the compliance report in terms of the order dated July 2, 2013 wherein Chief Secretary is directed to comply with earlier directions in which Division Bench directed Chief Secretary to pass necessary orders to give effect to the recommendations of the Committee so as to meet the requirements as early as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks and file compliance report in the Registry of this Court. |
