Jammu, Aug 3: A one day interaction camp was organized by Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Block Bhalwal, Jammu with the sarpanches/naib sarpanches regarding the Devolution of Powers to PRIs.
The camp was among others attended by all the block level heads of 14 line departments and was chaired by Assistant commissioner development Jammu K K Sidha.
The interaction was aimed at bringing the Panchayat representatives and government departments on single platform to spread awareness about the various schemes and programmes being executed by various department and finding solution to the problems identified by panchayat members. Issues pertaining to different departments were being raised by the speakers including Kuldeep Kumar Sarpanch Ghaink, Gurbachan Singh Sarpanch Mishriwalla, Asgar Ali Sarpanch Bhalwal Upper B, Amar Nath Sarpanch Amb, Sh. Balbir Singh Sarpanch Gharota Lower, Sh. Raj Dev Singh Sarpanch Bhalwal Upper A, Nashter Singh Sarpanch Dhanu, Balbir Singh Sarpanch Jandyal, Jugal Gupta Sarpanch Kote Lower A, Sh. Raj Dev Singh Sarpanch Barnai, Sh. Narinder Singh Sarpanch Gharota Upper, Babishan Singh Sarpanch Doomi, Ravi Kumar Sarpanch Malpur, Mohammad Anwar Khan Sarpanch Bhagani. Speaking on the occasion ACD Jammu KK Sidha lauded the role of public in maintaining peace and harmony in the area and said that their grievances shall be duly addressed by the concerned departments.
