Jammu, Aug 3: A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping on railway track here at Railway Crossing, Channi Himat today, police sources said. As per police reports, the woman identified namely as Raj Rani of Channi Himmat jumped before train on railway track causing her on spot death. Soon after the news of incident the team of police from concerned police station rushed to the spot and took the custody of the body. After legal formalities and postmortem, the Channi Himmat Police handed over her body to her relatives for last rites. The reason behind the extreme step yet has not been ascertained but police after registering a case in this regard started further investigation. |
