Jammu, Aug 6: Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakarwal Desh Youth Body has claimed that nomads in Wadwan area of Kishtwar have been facing hardships due to heavy rainfall. State president of JKGBDY, Nazakat Khatana visited Wadwan area of Kishtwar and observed that poor nomads were facing lot of problems. "Peoples of the area Trupgam Nallah Kaintal Sai Nallah, Sukanai Ruknas, Gumri Nallah, Bringan, Inchhan Madwa No Pachi Dachan Madwa Paddar Pache Sinthan Top Margan Top etc and some area Sigali Bhata, Gujjar basti Tehsil Chattreu of District Kishtwar are suffering due to heavy rains in last few days and have no shelter", Khatana said. Khatana further said that during election campaign government had said that they were very keen for development of Gujjar and Bakerwal community which was most poor section of state. "But so far no concrete step has been taken and community is facing same problems since last sixty years", he said, adding that some mobile schools were allotted a few years back but nobody cared properly. He appealed state government and sheep husbandry department to establish a unit in above said area. |
