Jammu, Aug 6: A joint meeting of the members and office bearers of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J&K was held here Tuesday under Shadi Lal Pandita, President of the Committee. The members expressed grave concern over the recent happening in Jagti Migrant Camp where some criminals killed a migrant. They said that a conspiracy has been hatched to put the migrant Kashmiri Pandits to harassments and tortures and the "National Conference Government is in hand and glove with the elements hatching conspiracy." "It is evident from the government's attitude of implementing whole night power curtailments in this Migrant Camp for past more than two years. Though the government and authorities had time and again been apprised about the insecurity of the inmates of this migrant camp but nothing was done to rest power supplies during nigh hours," they said. The participants said that the inmates of this Jagti Migrant Camp have been feeling un-secure and unsafe as such have made an appeal to the government for ensuring proper security arrangements with establishment of a police post in the Camp area and ensuring proper patrolling as the area is surrounded by forests where criminals roam to find occasions to commit crimes. They also expressed their gratitude to Senior Superintendent of Police Atul Goel, SDPO, Khalik Choudhary SHO, Parvez Sazad for their best efforts in arresting the criminals responsible for killing of Tej Krishan Talashi. The participants also appreciated the action of Deputy Commissioner Jammu A K Sahay for announcing cash assistance relief to the bereaved family and job to kin of the deceased, in police.
