KISHTWAR, Aug 6: In view of "World Breast Feeding Week" being celebrated all over world, Block Kishtwar organized an impressive function today in the office premises of BMO Kishtwar.
The function was attended by a large number of Sarpanchs, Member Panchyats, Paramedical medical staff, ASHAs and general public of Health block Kishtwar.
While speaking on the occasion BMO Kishtwar Dr. Parvez Iqbal Wani laid down stress upon the role of Breast Feeding in overall growth & development of a child. The participants were given awareness regarding benefits of mother's milk for her child. He made an appeal to the audience to disseminate this message among the masses in the society for a healthy future. Dr. Javed Iqbal, Dr. Sajjad Ahmed, Dr.
Nadeem Malik were among the speakers on the occasion who took this opportunity to reach out to the audience and aware them regarding declining sex ratio, female feticide and family planning etc. and the role of public in helping the society to root out these social evils. |
