| Taekwondo Association holds meet | | | Sports Reporter JAMMU, Aug 6: Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association today held a meeting of the office bearers, including those from district units, to discuss promotion of the game in the state. The meeting was chaired by Association president, PC Sharma while general secretary, DN Sharma presided. Members of the Association discussed in length the new rules of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) and asked the members to make the players and officials aware of such changes. The district units asked to make efforts to promote the game at the grass root level. Adding further Singh said that keeping in view the present political scenario in State where existing political parties have miserably failed to come up at the expectations of public, ground is almost ready for ANC to provide political alternative to State. NPSU demands re-organization of state ET Report JAMMU, Aug 6: Demanding regional justice to all the three regions of the state, the National Panthers Students' Union (NPSU) today appealed the state government to re-organize the state besides separating the school board and Public Service Commission. Addressing the press conference at party head office here today, State President NPSU Partap Singh Jamwal today stated that re-organization of the state is the need of the hour. It is the only formula to provide justice to all the three regions of the state. "Education Board, Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB), Public Service Commission (PSC), and Board of Professional Entrance (BOPE) all should be separated for all the three regions" said Partap adding it would only end the regional bias. Partap further said that several organizations including political, non-political and students organizations raised their voice and now to strength their voice NPSU is going to organize a convention in which all these parties will be invited. Later, an agitation will be launched against the state govt. on a joint platform to maintain pressure on state government for re-organization of the state. |
