Jammu Zone boys' meet begins

JAMMU, Aug 23: Annual inter-school boys' under-19 competitions of Jammu zone, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) in the disciplines of kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball and wrestling got underway at Government Higher Secondary School, (GHSS) Bakshi Nagar, here today.
The zonal level meet was declared open by Principal of Government Higher School School, Kachi Chowani, Kamla Devi. The competition is being held under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Jammu, Kiran Jyoti.
The Results:
KABADDI: Semifinal: Hari Singh HSS bt GHSS Dansal 20-13. Preliminary round: GHSS Bakshi Nagar bt Central Basics HSS 18-07; GHSS Paloura bt GHSS Sarwal 34-24; Hari Singh HSS bt GHSS Nagrota 19-14.
KHO-KHO: GHSS Nowabad bt GHSS Dansal 9-0; GHSS Jajjar Kotli bt KC Public 9-1.
VOLLEYBALL: Delhi Public School bt GHSS Muthi 2-0; GHSS Paloura bt Hari Singh HSS 2-1; GHSS Kathar Manwal bt Model Academy 2-0; KIP Kathar Manwal bt KC Public 2-1.
