Omar discriminating with constituencies represented by opposition: PDP

JAMMU, Aug 23: Charging Chief Minister Omar Abdullah with meting out discrimination with constituencies being represented by opposition parties, former Minister and MLA Mendhar Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan today expressed surprise that Omar Abdullah today conducted survey of flood affected areas but ignored Mendhar constituency represented by PDP.
In a statement issued here today, Khan said that this attitude of Omar Abdullah shows his seriousness for the people of this tehsil and even all assemblies where PDP get vote for peace and development for their commendable work in the period of previous coliation government headed by the Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Ghulam Nabi Azad.
He remineded that previous PDP-Congress had set an example of good governance and never discriminated with areas being represented by opposition parties at that time. He said that it was regrettable that the present regime of National Conference totally ignoring the people of Mendhar tehsil who were badly hit by the recent rainfall floods where three persons dead in far flung of area of Sangiote village due to collapsing of their house.
Many of the roads, houses, crops were damaged in this heavy rainfall even all the villages near by the border of Mendhar tehsil are suffering in continuous firing and shelling of Pakistan army. He said the visit of Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir today in district Poonch set an example of neglect of the people of Mendhar.
