Jammu, Aug 23 : As per the official communication received from Jin Wei Programme officer Livelihood and Economic Development, Dr. CM.Seth IFS (Rtd) Chairman WWF-India J&K state, an expert on Forestry and environment has been invited by the Chinese Government to attend twenty one days international INBAR workshop at Hongzhou in Zhejiang province from 25th August to 13 September 2013. According to press release, issued here today International Network on Bamboos and Rattans have jointly organized the workshop on, "Sustainable Industrialization and Commercialization of Non -Timber-Forest -Products (NTFP) and Sustainable Bamboo Development" with the support of Ministry of Science and Technology China and Linan Modern Forestry Technology Centre at Hongzhou. Objective of the workshop is to find out solutions for the development of Bamboos and Rattans for the sustainable livelihoods of the people dependent on biodiversity services and income generation. |
