Jammu, Aug 23 : A large number of women activists having different political affiliations joined BJP Mahila Morcha today in a function held at Kerni Talab in Narwal area of Gandhi Nagar constituency. The joining function was organized by District Secretary Manshad Bibi, dozens of women join the morcha. Mahila Morcha State President Priya Sethi, General Secretaries Anuradha Charak and Anju Dogra and District President Parveen Arora and BJP Muslim Morcha District President Bashir Ahmed. Priya Sethi, while welcoming the new entrants, said that women in the state, irrespective of their region and faith, have been joining our party in large numbers as they have realized that the successive governments always discriminated with them and misled for the sake of votes. She said that there has been widespread resentment against the present NC-Congress coalition government as it has totally failed to ensure security of women. Priya Sethi said that BJP is well aware of the problems of the women and we stand for political empowerment of them so that they themselves are part of the decision making organizations. She assured the new entrants that the Mahila Morcha of the party will stand by them in every grief and sorrow and take up their problems at appropriate platforms for the solutions at the earliest. Among those who joined the Mahila Morcha included Parveen Akhtar, Mansha Bi, Maqsooda, Khadima, Neelam Sharma, Suraiya, Shameem Akhtar, Arsha Bibi, Shuma, Rashida Bilu, Salima, Rabina Begam, Sharda Pandit, Shamshad Akhtar, Seena, Noor Jahan, Kaneez Akhtar, Parveen, Harinda, Ravina, Bullu, Darshana Devi, Fatima Mourya, Jannat Tara, Jasmeen, Jura and Nazia. |
