Kathua, Aug 23: - To review the measures undertaken by the administration in the wake of flood situation, Member Legislative Council (MLC) Subash Gupta took an extensive tour of Kore Punnu, Dhalli, Chaba Chack and adjoining areas. Taking swift action on rising water levels in the river Ujh, Gupta today along with a high official team of district administration rushed to the site and had a first hand inspection of the prevailing situation. The team visited Kore Punnu, Dhalli, Chaba Chack and other low lying areas having danger of flooding. At these places detailed review of damage to crops and property was done and measures to check further damage were discussed in detail with the civil administration and concerned engineers. Interacting with the people at different locations Gupta inquired about the prevailing situation and assured them of all required help by the administration. He asked the concerned officials to depute revenue officials to assess the loss. |
