| Workers protest against Met Trade India management | | | Kathua, Aug 23: Met Trade India Private Limited, an industry has allegedly violated the order of Labour Tribunal Court Jammu to stop running of the factory due to existing a dispute between workers and management of the Industry. Leaders of Industrial Estate Workers Union Unit Kathua during a protest against the Met Trade India Pvt. Ltd here demanded re-engaging large numbers of expelled workers of Met Trade. The protestors led by the senior leader of the Union Raj Kumar alleged the factory management was running the Met Trade for recruiting new workers and making the production 'inspite of being admitted in writing by the Met Trade that no new recruitment will be taken till final disposal of the case.' The protestors claimed that the management succeeded in engaging new recruitment, which will directly hit the future of 387 workers who have been expelled by the management of Met Trade. "The management also violated the directions of Industrial Tribunal Cum Labour Court Jammu in which it is straight forwardly directed it that management of this industry shall not recruit or initiate any process of recruitment till the next date of hearing subject to filing of objections by the other side and any violation on the part of industry shall invite action from this tribunal," they claimed. |
