Youth Congress protests against industrialists of Kathua

Kathua, Aug 23 : A protest was held by the Youth Congress against the industrialists of Kathua Industrial Area at Shaheedh Bhagat Singh Park here on Friday.
They urged the state government and district administration to take serious and stern action against the industries for ignoring the local unemployed youth in privinding them employment. Later a deputation led by senior leader of Youth Congress S Paramjeet Singh called on Deputy Commissioner Kathua and submitted a memorandum to both administration and state government for seeking the justice with local unemployed youth. Speaking on the occasion Singh highlighted the grievances of unemployed youth and the 'discriminatory' approach of the industrialists. It was pointed out by the protestors that the industrialists were involved in electricity thefts they steal the power in connivance with PDD employees. They said not only this these industries are also violating the agreement which held between industrialists and the government according to which 90 percent jobs were to given to local unemployed and trained youth and 10 percent to outsiders.
"But the industrialists are totally in contrary to the agreement and they give only two percent jobs to the locals and 98 percent to the outsiders and have made the mockery of agreement," they claimed.
