JMC conducts anti adulteration drive, realized Rs 5900 from defaulters

Jammu, Aug 26: Jammu Municipal Corporation today conducted anti adulteration drive and realized Rs. 5900 from defaulters and seized 17 kg of polythene. A team led by Health Officer, Dr. Vinod Sharma conducted an extensive tour in the areas like New plot, Amphalla, Gangyal, Trikuta NagarBahu-Fort, Gandhi Nagar, Indira Chowk, Vikram Chowk, Nanak Nagar to check the quality of commonly used food items to the general public inspected various food establishments like Halwai shops, Dhabas, bakery shops, juice shops, Cut fruit shops / rehries, Ice cream units. Besides 2 food samples of milk and dahi were also lifted from different parts of Jammu city and sent to Public Analyst Jammu for ascertaining their standard of purity, especially keeping in view of the festival of Janamashthami.
