Sports Reporter JAMMU, Aug 26: The JK Public School (JKPS) clinched the boys' under-19 table tennis title in the two-day inter-school competitions, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at different venues, here today. In the final, JKPS outplayed KC International School 3-0. Earlier, in the semifinals, KC International beat Delhi Public School 3-0 while JKPS trounced Heritage School 3-0. The winning JKPS team was comprised of Sanpreet Singh, Amber Sharma, Dhrevin Rometra and Raghav Gupta. Meanwhile, the under-19 boys' tug of war trophy went to Guru Harkrishan Public School after they beat Banyan International 2-1. In the semifinals, Banyan International beat J&K Police Public School 2-1 while Guru Harkrishan Public outplayed Army Public School Domana 2-1. The competition in other two disciplines of Throwball and Baseball could not take place for lack of participation, so the organizing committee decided to conduct selection trials to pick up district teams for the divisional level competition. |
