Jammu, Aug 26: A legal awareness camp today held at Child Development Project office, Bari Brahmana on subject 'Rights of women and on protection of women from domestic violence Act".
Speaking on the occasion, CDPO Seema Bharti explained about the importance of awareness among the women about their legal rights and role of Anganwari worker in spreading and aware the women about the said subject. Being grass root level functionaries the Anganwari workers can prove as most powerful work force in these regard and since CDPO's would be designated as protection officers within their area of jurisdiction in reference to sub section1 of section 8 of Jammu and Kashmir the need of said awareness becomes mandatory among workers, she added.
Naib Tehsildar Samba Ram Pal Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
