Early Times Report Kathua, Aug 26 : Activists of Speak India Environmental Foundation (SIEF) today conducted anti polythene drive at Brahman Sabha Kathua during Sant Sammelan. The drive was organized under the leadership of Sunil Sharma Chairman of the organization. During the program activists SIEF appealed the common masses to boycott the polythene and made them aware about the hazards of polythene. Sant Abhished Sharma appreciated the step taken by SIEF in this regards and said that this is the positive step taken by the organization and this is the social responsibility of every individuals to be the part of nature and work for the protection of environment. Those who were present on the occasion included Naresh Kumar, Vinay Khjuria, Des Raj, Ashu, and Atual. Besides, SIEF held protest under against Mubai gang rape. Speaking on the occasion, Naresh said that Mumbai gang rape is shameful act for our society and especially for the government of India but the government is not serious and as a result the case of sexual harassment, gang rape is increasing day by day and for that SIEF demanded from the Government of India to frame a strict law and take stern action against the rapist so that this type of heinous crime will be stopped. |
