Jammu, Aug 26: NABARD has prepared Financial Literacy Plan 2013-14 to be implemented in the state to spread financial literacy among rural population. According to press release the plan includes various activities such as printing of leaflets of various sizes, advertisement on TV / Radio, talk shows on radio, nukkad nataks, awareness programmes, wall paintaining and banners. "To reach out to the people of far flung area, NABARD has sanctioned one project of advertisement to Prasar Bharti, Radio Kashmir for creating awareness among the rural people on financial inclusion. These advertisements will be broadcasted before and after Urdu News at 7.40 PM, in the current affairs public grievances programme at 7.00 PM and in film music over all India Radio, Ladakh at 6.15 PM from 26 August 2013. In addition, NABARD has also sanctioned 25 nukkad nataks to The New Sargam Social and Cultural Club, an NGO to be performed in Samba & Kathua districts, to make local people aware the benefits of financial inclusion" the handout read.
