Kathua, Aug 27 : Bharat Vikas Parishad today conducted an awareness programme at Minerva Public School, Barnoti Kathua. According to press release, children from various schools participated in the symposium and over a dozen students expressed their views regarding consequences and conservation of environment. They expressed concern over shrinkage of natural resources, depletion of ozone layer, global warming and extinction of wild life natural habitat. The students also presented a cultural programme matching the occasion. Later the office bearers, members of the Parishad, school staff and students planted 128 saplings of shady, ornamental and medicinal plants in the area of the school. Prizes and mementos are distributed to the participating students.
