Katra, Aug 27: Local journalists staged a peaceful protest at Katra bus stand (Fuwara Chowk) against the rape of a photo-journalist in Mumbai. Katra journalists, both from electronic and print media staged protest at Katra bus stand today morning, to condemn the rape of the photojournalist by five men in an abandoned mill compound in central Mumbai.
The protesting journalists jam traffic 1-2 hr and appealed state and centre government to make strict law for rapist so that such type of incidents would not happen again. Rakesh Sharma, Tony Padha, Devaker Sharma, Raj Kumar, Arun Sharma, Raman Sharma, Amit Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Sham Pujari, Sonu Koli, Dinesh Singh, Pawan Kumar, Nishant Gupta and Pankij Kumar were present on the occasion and they demanded stringent punishment to those involved in the brutal act. |
