| Army porter injured in Tanghdar, airlifted to 92 base hospital | | SPO dies mysteriously | | Early Times Report srinagar, Oct 12: An Army porter was injured in a landmine blast in Tanghdar area of North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Saturday. Official sources told GNS that Nazir Ahmad, 27, son of Abdul Hamid of Tanghdar Nad was carrying supplies for Army in mountainous top near Patti Post this afternoon when he accidentally stepped over a landmine. "The porter received injuries in leg and was immediately airlifted to army's 92 base hospital here in Srinagar for treatment in unconscious state," they said. Pertinently, on Oct 11, a trooper of 23 Grenadier identified as Hawaldar Zahid Ali, 33 year old was injured critically in a landmine blast near Balbir Post in Keran Sector of Kupwara district. The injured soldier also was admitted in Army's 92-base hospital here in Srinagar where he is undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, a police official while talking to GNS said that a person identified as 26 years old Shabir Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Hamid Ganie resident of Shamsipora, Sudsuna, who was working as SPO in Government Railway Police was found dead under mysterious circumstances near railway track in Shamsipora, Kulgam. A case under section 174 CrPC has been registered in this regard and further investigations have been taken up, the spokesman added. |
