Miniority community calls off Bandh as arrested 'youths' released on bail

Rajouri, Oct 12: The minority community in Rajouri today calls off its 'indefinite Rajouri bandh' following bail was granted to two youth today, sources said. Sanatan Dham Sabha (SDS) and other organizations representing minority community have called for indefinite Bandh against alleged biased approach of police and district administration against particular section after Oct 4 when youth of two communities clashed. Reliable sources said that the decision was reportedly taken after agreement reached between the two groups of both the community involved in the clash on October,4 over a issue of car parking where the RSS' shakha' activities were in progress. During the clash four including two youth of majority community namely Tariq and Shahzad were also injured. However police taking cognizance of the complaint of two brothers registered a case under sections 307 RPC (attempt to murder) and other relevant sections arrested three youth including district president BJYYM, Vikas Gupta and vice president Mohin Malhotra.
Keeping in view the approaching festivals including Dusherra, Eid and later Diwali the district administration in consultation with higher authorities approached the members of two communities and release the youth after diluting section 307RPC.
Thereafter under other sections police today granted bails to Vikas Gupta and Radhesh and they were released in the evening. After the release of the youth a meeting was held in the Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) and the bandh organizers announced the decision to withdraw the indefinite shut down.
