Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 12: National Secular Forum (NSF) demanded from the State Government to open a Govt Degree College (GDC) at Majalta to facilitate needs of the student community who has to travel far from their home town to get education. National Secular Forum (NSF) Majalta protested and amid slogans against the State Government demanded from it to immediately set up a Govt Degree College at Majalta. Addressing the protesters here today, Sukdev Singh President NSF alleged state government to ignore Majalta Tehsil while opening new degree colleges across the state. He said, "Majalta students have to shift to Udhampur or Samba for higher studies in absence of a college. He claimed that Majalta Tehsil of Udhampur which has the strong case with population of over 47, 600 for Degree College which yet is an illusion. Protestors warned if new degree college will not be announced at the earliest than NSF will launch a strong agitation against the state Government |
