| EFK demands filling up of vacant posts in Education Department | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Oct 12: District general secretary Joint Employees Front Kishtwar Pardeep Koul in a press statement issued today urged upon Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand to fill up all the vacant posts in the education Department to ensure quality education. Koul in his statement said nearly half a dozen posts of joint directors are lying vacant which need to be filled up by promoting CEOs and DIET principals so that streamlining of education could takes place. He said that some CEO posts are also lying vacant and has urged Tara Chand to fill up these vacant posts as well so that all schemes like SSA, RMSA SBM, MDM etc could be implemented in a smart and effective way in the best interest of the department. He expressed his satisfaction that the department has shown good progress under the guidance of Dy CM. He urged him to remove the pay anomaly of masters and increase their grade pay to 4800 instead of 4280 as it takes 15 to 19 years for a teacher to get promoted as masters. He said teaching fraternity has been demanding leave encashment but noting substantial has been done in this regard. Welcoming and lauding the efforts of Tara Chand in ordering mass promotions in the department, Padeep Koul expressed the hope that four major demands viz removal of pay anomaly in master grade, grant leave encashment to all teachers, masters and lecturers, release of salary grants on half yearly basis and promotion of masters to lectures in science subjects would be fulfilled by the minister in due course of time. He also urged the state government to implement the written agreement between the CSC and the representatives of JCC last year and remove the pay anomalies of masters and clerical cadre along with enhancements of retirement age. He said that employees and government will have to work together for the general mass and urged the government to release 10% D.A installment due from July 2013. |
