Et Report Srinagar, Oct 17: The Special Operation Group (SOG) of police in Awantipora has detained two youth for questioning in connection with rifle snatching incident that took place in Tral in South Kashmir.On October 9, some unidentified persons had reportedly attacked a CRPF constable in Tral and decamped with his service rifle after injuring him seriously. As per police sources the SOG Awantipora has detained Mehraj-u-Din Bhat a resident of Hari Parigam and Rameez Ahmad a resident of Chandrigam district Pulwama for questioning. "On October 12, three persons, alleged to be part of a six-member module 'involved' in a rifle snatching incident, were arrested by police in Pulwama, sources added. They said, "An INSAS rifle, snatched from the CRPF jawan at Tral, was left behind by the fleeing unidentified persons, which later was seized by police. |
