| EPTWS pays tributes to student martyrs of 1966 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 17: EP Tenants Welfare Society's (EPTWS) working committee led by its President Inder Mohinder Tar Singh paid tributes and homage to the student martyrs of 1966 struggle. The memorial of the martyrs of 1966 student movement for separate and full fledged university for Jammu and what we have today is all because of the sacrifices made by the martyrs Brij Mohan, Subhash Chandra, Gulshan Handa and Gurcharan Singh alias Pissu. The first three martyrs were shot dead inside the premises of GGM Science College where as the fourth one was martyred in Rajinder Bazaar, Jammu when an officer using service revolver shot at point blank range. "I still remember all that and it seems as if it happened yesterday. That time I was a student of fifth standard and three of the martyrs were regular visitors to our home as they were studying with my elder brothers," Tar Singh said. Later alongwith the working committee members Tar Singh visited the members of JJSF and exchanged the views and the student martyrs across the world.
