jammu, Oct 17: A man and his three family members were booked today for allegedly instigating his wife to commit suicide here in September this year, police said.
Sanjay Sethi, Jyoti Sethi, Rakesh Sethi and Isher Dass Sethi, all of the same family, have been booked for instigating Sanjay's wife Bandana Sethi to commit suicide at their residence in Janipur belt of the city on September 21 this year. They used to harass Bandana on one or the other pretext, a police official said.
An inquest proceeding was today converted into abatement of suicide case under Section 306 IPC, he said.
On September 21 this year, the police was informed that Bandana had committed suicide under suspicious circumstances, following which an inquest proceeding was initiated into the case. |
