| PDP alleges doctors instructing patients to get Dengue test from private labs | | | Early Times Report jammu, Oct 17: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital Jammu administration and concerned minister of their insensitive approach by advising the patients to get their Dengue test done from private laboratories instead of hospitals' own lab. While addressing a press conference here at PDP office, Dist Vice President Vikram Singh said that there are more than 200 patients admitted in the Hospital in Ward no. 12, 14, and 15 and the doctors who are taking care of Dengue patients are advising them to get their tests done from private Labs recommended from the Staff and Doctors. He alleged that GMC has its own Laboratory which is very much equipped with latest facilities even then doctors and staff recommending them to private laboratories for their commissions. He further added that it was matter of concern that the doctors who are considered second to God are playing with lives of public as in the prescription of doctor the medicine which are written are available only outside the Hospital Shops and nowhere else in the market or near to their private clinics. Vikram Singh asked asked CMO and Health Minister to look into the matter take appropriates steps who found guilty and setup an example to not play with the future and health of the patients and warned to launch agitation. |
