| Court acquits wife, her alleged paramour, passes strictures against PP | | Husband's death case | | Early Times Report jammu, Oct 17: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Kartar Singh today acquitted two persons from the charges of committing murder over the issue that accused persons are stated to have illicit relations between them besides passing strictures against Public Prosecutor which failed to prove the allegations. Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Jammu Kartar Singh while acquitting the accused Sunil Kumar s/o Karan Singh, of Rangpur Mulliana, R.S. Pura and Sita Devi Wd/o Rattan Lal of Korotana, R.S.Pura from the charges of committing murder after hearing both the sides observed that no prosecution witness has stated that the accused were having illicit relations with each other. In other words there is no even an iota of incriminating evidence to connect the accused with the commission of alleged offence. With these words of pain and sorrow for the deceased, the court is left with no option except to acquit the accused, who are therefore, acquitted of the charges framed against them. Court also passed serious strictures against Public Prosecutor with the observation the Public Prosecutor barged into the room and uttered derogatory remarks by saying that this case has been disposed off as if it is an application under section 107 Cr.P.C. According to the police case that on December 21, 2011 the complainant Dharam Pal lodged a written report in the police station R.S.Pura. During the investigation it was found that the accused Sunil Kumar was having illicit relations with the accused Sita Devi Widow of the deceased and the deceased came to know about it. The deceased also had informed the village Panchayat and his other relatives about the illicit relations of the accused and asked them to advice them to mend their ways besides sharing his apprehensions that his wife the accused Sita Devi might get him murdered through his lover Sunil Kumar.
