Army brass meet to discuss China, Pak challenges
10/17/2013 10:57:57 PM

New Delhi, Oct 17: India's top army commanders will hold a brainstorming session next week to figure out ways to deal with challenges confronting the force, prominent among them being increased Pakistani aggression at the LoC, unsavoury incidents of insubordination and Chinese activity along the border. The six -day army commanders' meet from October 21 to 26, to be chaired by its chief General Bikram Singh, comes at a time when questions are still being raised about the 15-day long gun battle in J-K's Keran sector. The infiltration attempt by terrorists, allegedly backed by the Pakistani army, took place on September 24 when a rotation of units was underway. The brawl between officers and men of an infantry unit near Meerut, following up on the mountain strike corps to be raised along the China border would be discussed.
