| PHE ITI Trained Workers Union threaten to launch agitation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Bhaderwah, Oct 21 : Jammu and Kashmir PHE ITI Trained workers Union has warned that if their demands are not met by December 15, they would be forced to start a agitation in whole state which included regularisation policy of all ITI trained PHE casual labourers and need base workers . The aggrieved Union members today raised slogans against the PHE administration which has failed to implement the demands of ITI trained casual labourers and workers , agreed by the Minister of PHE department a year ago . While addressing a press conference after holding a protest outside PHE filter plant Dandi-Chaka area of Baderwah , state president of the Union Taveer Hussain along with other senior leaders included Subash Chander general secretary , Chandan Singh and Munish Abrol have said that the demands recently agreed by the PHE Minister last year has been put into the cold storage and are being delayed deliberately to harass the casual laborers and need basis workers of PHE department who are working from the last so many years . They further added that the orders and the circulars regarding wages enhancement at the rate of Rs. 125 per day and releasing of one and half day's ex-gratia pay are yet to be implemented. They warned the minister as well as state government if their demand is not fulfiled till December 15 they would cut the supply of all districts and the responsiblilt would lie on the state government. On the occasion they also announced district body of the Union which included Mohd Sajad Ganai as president , Abdul Hafeez Ganai as cashier , Shashi Pal Singh as secretary , Suresh Kumar as working president , Bashrat Ahmed as secretary , Anitullah as joint secretary and Ishtiaq Ahmed as chief organizer . It is notable to mention here that yesterday state body of PHE ITI Trained workers Union has started its tour of whole Chenab valley where they are mobilizing their union members for lengthy agitation going to be held after December 15 . |
