| CRPF starts evacuation of Sports Goods Complex Bijbehara | | | Saahil Suhail Anantnag, Oct 22: Continuing to lessen their foot prints in valley, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today started evacuating Sports Goods Complex Bijbehara in South Kashmir's Anantnag district after it took over since the emergence of the insurgency in 90s. Highly placed sources said that CRPF's 90 Battalion has almost completed evacuation process. They said that the camp is being relocated at Uranhal Bijbehara few Kilometers away from the main town. However, IG CRPF when contacted showed ignorance about the shifting of CRPF camp and said, "I don't have any knowledge about it as I am on leave." Sports Goods Complex Bijbehara, Manager who along with unit holders today visited the deserted complex inaugurated by late Sheikh Mohmmad Abdullah expressed its gratitude towards the government and said it will boost the bat manufacturing industry and business unit holders in the area. If recalled here that as part of the recommendations of the All Party delegation, which visited Kashmir Valley at the peak of 2010 summer unrest, the government in a bid to restore faith among local masses started the process of making less foot prints of security forces even with removal of bunkers from various parts of the city. 'The aim is to reduce the foot-prints of security forces from areas where they are no longer required after the normalcy has been restored,' sources said.
