| CAPD Kathua taken to task for non supply of ration on Eid | | | | Billawar, Oct 21: More than 50000 consumers have registered their strongest resentment against the Consumers Affairs and Public Distribution Department of district Kathua for having failed to ensure the supply of sugar and ration items at their respective ration depots in Billawar on the eve of Eid. Sarpanch Akhtar Ali, Panchayat Pallan alleged the CAPD for depriving the people to avail the ration facility at various depots on the eve of Eid and celebrated by Muslim community without ration facility, but the concerned the department is not seemed serious towards the ration problem. He said the most of the ration which is meant for the consumers is carried for black-marketing by the dealers and other officials of CAPD and made people to be worst affected. He said on the eve of Eid festival more than 50000 consumers of Muslim community of Billawar area were greatly affected due to negligence of the CAPD and forced the innocent consumers to celebrate the Eid which is a mega religious occasion Muslim community.Ali, Advocate Jatinder Singh Badwal, Dev Raj Gupta, Liyakat Ali and several others alleges that five stores in the area have been constructed illegally because they are being used to dump the ration for carrying its black-marketing but the actual consumers were made to suffer and deprived from the facility of ration. They urged the state government to conduct the fair investigation whereabouts the ration which are meant for true consumers. |
