Jammu, Oct 22: While commenting on the media report wherein Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reaffirmed his endeavour to strive for the healthy and educated J&K state, Deep Singh the President of NGO namely "People's Action & Public Accountability" termed such intentions or claims as merely indigestible in view of his working being noticed as head of ruling coalition government of the state since last six years. According to press release, he said, no doubt there were many coalition compulsions before Omar as Chief Minister but even then he being young and grandson of a stalwart personality of the state badly failed to act in a strong way during the last more than five years. While ignoring the delay in much needed implementation of "Food Safety Act", recently exposed scams of sub-standard medicines, media reports on sub-standard government school buildings, corruption based transfer policy in school education & corrupt or incompetent ruling arrangement at political levels, intensions or claims of Chief Minister are just impossible to digest and will be taken as a hollow slogan in view of 2014 elections, he further alleged.
State government's treatment to the "State Accountability Commission", an unfair legislation on the jurisdiction of the anti corruption institutions & working or outcome of existing anti corruption institutions is in front of people and in such a situation it is very difficult to achieve the needed targets of public welfare, Singh expressed. |
