JAMMU, Oct 22: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today announced Arshad Malik, a veteran politician as party candidate for Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat. Announcement of Arshad Malik's candidature was announced today in a meeting which was held under the chairmanship of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. All senior leaders including those from Udhampur-Doda seat were present in the meeting. Before joining PDP three months back, Arshad Malik remained in National Conference for more than four decades. He remained block president of National Conference for almost two decades. He later remained elected vice president of the National Conference of erstwhile Doda district. Arshad Malik has good following in entire erstwhile Doda district. Party leaders have appreciated decision of the leadership to announce Malik as party candidate. Sardar Rangil Singh, Yash Pal Sharma, MLC, Trilok Singh Bajwa, Sayeed Asgar Ali, MLC, Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi, Daman Bhasin, Fallail Singh, Hussain Ali Wafa, Jagjeet Singh Jagga, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Hamid Choudhary, Mehboob Iqbal, A R Wani, Guru Parshad, Arshad Malik, Sukhdev Sharma, Partap Sharma, Shoukat Daing, Imtiyaz Shan, Rajinder Manhas, Pritam Kotwal, Shakeel Mir, Farooq Mir, Ganga Dutt Sharma, Abjeet Jasrotia, Sher Singh, Aijaz Wani, Imtiyaz Khanday, Mohinder Kotwal, Talib Hussain, Hari Om Singh, Hans Raj, N D Khan, Anil Singh and others present in the meeting where in candidature of Malik was announced. |
