JAMMU, Oct 22: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today announced Arshad Malik, a veteran politician as party candidate for Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat. Announcement of Arshad Malik's candidature was announced today in a meeting which was held under the chairmanship of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. All senior leaders including those from Udhampur-Doda seat were present in the meeting.
Before joining PDP three months back, Arshad Malik remained in National Conference for more than four decades. He remained block president of National Conference for almost two decades. He later remained elected vice president of the National Conference of erstwhile Doda district.
Arshad Malik has good following in entire erstwhile Doda district. Party leaders have appreciated decision of the leadership to announce Malik as party candidate.
